MBBS Admission Process in Russia for Indian Students
Admission in medical universities in Russia is quite straightforward as there are no entrance exams are compulsory to appear in. Of course there are some requirements and eligibility criteria set by MCI and Russian Universities itself. Admissions in Russia for MBBS begin on May 1st of each year and end on August 30th.
Things in eligibility criteria which Indian students must meet are given here –
- Students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with PCB subjects including English with an aggregate of 50% marks in PCB subjects and overall too.
- Students must have completed 17 years of age before applying to the university.
- Maximum age to apply for MBBS in Russia is 25.
- NEET qualification is required with at least passing marks!
Required Documents
- Duly filled-in application form of the applicant
- Scanned copies of Class 10th and 12th mark-sheets and also Pass Certificates
- 4-6 Passport colored photographs of the candidate with a white background (4.5 cm /3.5 cm)
- Scanned copies of NEET Results. Score of at least 137-140/720 for the general category and 107-110/720 for SC/ST/OBC is required.
- Scanned copy of Passport (include first and last page). If Passport is not ready at the time of application please provide Aadhaar Card or Pan Card.


Academic Sessions in Russian Medical Universities
The Academic year in Russian medical universities starts on 1st September. There would be two semesters in each educational year – September to January month and February to June month.
1st-semester examinations start from January whereas second-semester exams start from June.
From 20th January to 7th February it’s winter vacation. And summer vacation would be from 15th July to 31st August.

Until your Visa is Study Visa, you can’t go for any job in Russia. With Study Visa working is not permitted actually.

Normally you’re allowed to carry 20-25 kgs of luggage without any charges. After that you have to pay on a Kg basis.
